For Other Bloggers

Yes, as bloggers we want to be heard.  The best way to do that is to get found.

How do we do that?

1) build links (to increase our reputation and pull)
2) create content (of interest to our readers)

But as a blogger, you already know that.  So I'll get to the point: let's hit both of those at the same time.

I'm always looking for fresh content and guest bloggers.  Plus, I'm willing to guest blog for others.  So, if you like my writing and think the content on Let's Talk About Floors could be interesting to your readers, contact me!  I'll need...
~ A topic idea (or multiple ideas)
  ~ Your contact information
~ A link to your blog
  ~ Basic target audience information

The way my guest blogging program works is this:
 1) content is written and posted on host blog with a brief intro (about 1 paragraph) from the host blogger that includes a link to the guest's blog
 2) the guest posts a snippet of the content to his/her own blog with a 'read more' link to the original post and a short blurb about the host blog

Note: if you're interested in being a guest blogger for Let's Talk About Floors, please be prepared to send me a MS Word file (my version can open in compatibility mode) with no HTML and links separated out with notes on where you'd like them placed.

  1. Hey Kat,

I'm Ethan with Design55, a UK-based designer furniture shop, and I would love to post on your flooring blog about what type of furniture would best accentuate different kinds of floors and vice-versa. Let me know if this interests you.

Look forward to hearing from you!

  3. Hi Katlin,

Was wondering if you'd be interested in a guest blog from me. I could write about refinishing / restoring old furniture to look brand new. Or I could write about painting techniques and tips. My blog is refinishingfurniture.net and my e-mail is dcrader@kent.edu

I look forward to hearing from you!

    thanks!
